The WCoBM Newsletter has been given a facelift and a new title, The Builders Merchant, to emphasise the Company's intention to communicate more clearly with the industry.
The first revamped issue was printed in April 2011 and is packed with information on new developments, coverage on recent events, interviews with the Master Gary Hopkins, Senior Warden Graham Ballinger, Honorary Court Assistant and Aldermanic Sheriff Fiona Woolf and Liveryman and Company Archivist Allan Durning, and much more. The newsletter has a new Editor, Mike Rigby of MRA Marketing, who became a liveryman last year. MRA is also responsible for the website and will support the Master's and Warden's emphasis on increasing the Company's influence in the industry.
Our thanks goes to Mike Shannon, previous editor of the Company’s newsletter, for his efforts and support in writing and producing ‘The Messenger’ over the years.
One of the Company's objectives is to show the Worshipful Company of Builders Merchants for what it is, rather than as people may think it is. So, we intend to feature more stories about members to show their importance to the industry and community. If you have any stories or views you want to share, please contact Mike or Lucia Di Stazio at 01453 521621 or email mike@521621.com.
